Studio B Hair Design & Spa (“Studio B”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates this website and provides hair, spa, waxing and bridal services in Peoria, Illinois. This policy explains what we collect through the site, what we do with it, and what choices you have.

By using this site you agree to this policy.

1. What we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form. If you send us a message we collect your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the service you selected, and whatever you write in the message.
• Bella, the chat assistant. If you use the chat bubble we receive the messages you type. Bella is an automated assistant, not a member of staff.
• Phone and email. If you call or email us directly we keep whatever you choose to share.

Information collected automatically

• Standard technical data handled by our web host, such as IP address, browser and device type, and which pages were requested.
• Anonymous usage counts. We record that a page was viewed, or that someone tapped the booking or phone link. These records contain the event, the page and the time. They are not tied to your name, your email or your identity.

Stored in your own browser

Your Bella conversation is saved in your browser’s local storage so the chat is still there if you change page. It stays on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it.

2. How we use it

• To answer your enquiry and arrange your appointment.
• To provide the service you have asked for.
• To understand which parts of the site are useful and improve them.
• To meet our legal and tax record-keeping obligations.

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that significantly affect you.

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make this site work, and only so they can perform that service for us:

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores contact form submissions.
• Resend delivers the notification email when you submit the contact form.
• Anthropic processes messages you send to Bella in order to generate her replies. Please do not type anything into the chat that you would not want handled by a third party. If your enquiry is sensitive, call us instead.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces used on this site, which means Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
• Square handles online booking. When you click a booking link you leave this site, and Square’s own privacy policy applies to whatever you enter there.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or to a successor if the business is sold.

4. How long we keep it

We keep contact enquiries for as long as needed to answer them and complete the service, and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. Anonymous usage counts are kept for up to 90 days.

5. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices

• You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, using the contact details below.
• You can clear your Bella conversation at any time by clearing your browser data.
• Depending on where you live you may have further rights under state law. We will honour valid requests.

7. Links to other sites

This site links to other places, including our booking page, our social media profiles, and the websites of the product brands we stock. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and we encourage you to read their policies.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. We do welcome children in the salon, and a parent or guardian arranges those appointments. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes are posted on this page with a new effective date, and continuing to use the site afterwards means you accept the updated policy.
